We are open and here for you for dinner and stays, in line with  the Scottish Government's 'Level 1' guidance.

We've always been good at staying 'ship-shape' but we have adjusted to new ways of doing things so that our care is more visible than ever at the hotel, while ensuring you have the time and space to be at your happiest. Helping you find these moments is, and always will be, at the heart of what we do.

We have developed a SEVEN POINT PLAN to help you understand the steps we have put in place, as well as operating the following approach when you dine with us:

  • Please wear a mask on entry and when using the toilets.
     
  • When entering the building, please use the hand sanitiser provided.
     
  • A host will meet you on entry and take you to your table; they will look after you throughout your visit.
     
  • During your visit we ask that you remain at your table unless using the facilities. Should you require assistance please inform your host.
     
  • Your host will ask for name and contact number from the lead person in your group for NHS Track and Trace. This will be securely held for 21 days. All team members have completed GDPR training.
     
  • Please wait at your table for your host to take your order. We will use disposable menus and you can order by writing on those, or pre-order before arrival.
     
  • Tables are spaced 1m+ apart and bookings are essential due to limited space, maximum table size is 8 diners.
     
  • Payment will be made at your table (card payment is preferred).

It's fair to say: we're in unusual times. It's understandable if you are feeling concerned or anxious about making bookings in the future. We are here to take bookings and we want to reassure you that they can be made risk-free. If you feel like you need to escape for a short break to reconnect and indulge, you can make a booking and cancel if you need to; please just allow 48 hours' notice.

Our cancellation policy allows you to book now, and pay nothing until you check out (direct bookings only). If you can't make it, you change your mind, or situations change beyond our control, you can cancel - please just allow 48 hours' notice. This means that you can cancel any accommodation booking without any costs at all. Please email any booking enquiries: enquiries@kirkwallhotel.com.

We genuinely appreciate your support. If you need to cancel your stay, we will also offer you the chance to reschedule. We'll be honest: the hospitality industry has been hit hard by this crisis, but with your support, we'll bounce back. Please consider rescheduling rather than cancelling.
